The Knoxville School Board will meet in regular session tomorrow.

The board will receive a technology presentation as well as consider waivers for Ahlers & Cooney, P.C. regarding the tennis courts project and east elementary. They will consider recommendations for financial audit bid proposals as well as consider the approval of the At Risk/Dropout Service Academic Assistance Program for 2018-2019. The board will consider a student staff request for a classroom catering process in which families can order treats for their child’s classroom from the Knoxville Community School District’s Child Nutrition Department. Classroom treats offered are healthy snacks prepared at the school and delivered to the students room. They will consider student program requests which includes a preliminary request for a high school choir out of state trip to New York City in March of 2019 as well as a Love Your Library Fundraiser for students to help collect money for the Knoxville Public Library Expansion Project. The board will also consider a Knoxville Middle School TAG fundraiser request to help raise funds for dance decorations. They will consider policy recommendations for both the 200 and 300 series which refer to the Board of Directors as well as the Administration. The board will also review the first draft of the 2018-2019 Academic Calendar as well as set a public hearing date to discuss the calendar. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will be held at the Knoxville School’s Administration Building.
