The Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad left no doubt on Tuesday night in Osceola as the Panthers walloped Clarke 91-50. With Knoxville up 5-4 in the early stages, the Panthers went on a 13-0 run to take control of the game. The Panthers had easy driving lanes through the paint with Patrick Crawford doing most of the damage scoring 24 points to lead all scorers. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports, he wanted his team to jump on Clarke early and not give the Indians any momentum. Knoxville is now 2-1 on the season and 2-0 in the South Central Conference. The girls remained unbeaten on the season with a 65-49 win over Clarke that was not as close as the score indicated. For the second straight game Katie Keitges established a new career high by scoring 34 points most on drives to the basket, she was helped with Maggie Wilkins’ 13 points. Knoxville opened up a close game by outscoring Clarke 17-5 in the second quarter after holding a 14-10 lead. Knoxville is now 4-0 on the season and 2-0 in the South Central Conference. Both teams head to Chariton on Friday.
