The Knoxville Basketball Squads split with Bondurant-Farrar last night. The Panther girls took the win 48-41 while the boys fell to the Blue Jays 61-53. In the girls game, while not playing their best, according to Coach Jim Uitermarkt, the Panthers scratched out a win behind the 26 points from Katie Keitges, who was in foul trouble early on. Knoxville finishes the pre-holiday portion of the schedule at 8-2. The boys were unable to get anything going offensively against a long and athletic Bondurant-Farrar squad. Coach Jeff Larson told KNIA/KRLS Sports his team was locked down by their man-to-man defense. Patrick Crawford led Knoxville with 17 points and Ben Wallace scored 11. The Panthers end the first half of the season at 5-5. Knoxville will take a couple weeks off from competition and come back January fifth against Albia.
