A Knoxville woman was arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing a checkbook from a home in Tracy and writing numerous forged checks across Marion County.

Renae Clark, 29, was arrested Tuesday for a list of incidents which occurred in August. According to court documents, Clark allegedly broke into a home in Tracy by breaking the front door and stole a checkbook from the homeowner. Following the break in, Clark wrote numerous forged checks in Marion County which totaled over $400 at various businesses. Clark was arrested and charged with seven counts of forgery, each a class D felony, burglary 3rd degree, a class D felony, two counts of theft 5th degree, two counts of theft 3rd degree, identity theft and money laundering acquiring property. She was booked into the Marion County Jail on $55,000 bond. Clark has seven previous convictions for theft.
