The Christmas break is a good first checkpoint for the area conference basketball standings. Here’s how the Little Hawkeye Conference boys race is shaping up.

Norwalk and Oskaloosa are both undefeated at 4-0, with defending champion Pella in third place at 3-1. Newton and Dallas Center-Grimes are in the middle of the pack with 2-2 records, then comes Indianola at 1-3. Both Pella Christian and Grinnell are still looking for their first league wins with 0-4 marks.

The co-leading Warriors and Indians have a full two weeks to prepare for their first showdown of the season, which will take place on January 5th at Oskaloosa.
