Multiple runs from both teams in the first half, led to a second half blowout last night in Nevada as the PCM boys basketball team preserved their unblemished record with a 66-42 win over the Cubs.

The PCM girls squad fell 58-25. The Mustang boys got up early starting off the game with a 12-0 run, but the Cubs answered and got the game tied going into halftime at 26. PCM exploded in the second half however, with the stat sheet being filled up by Reed Worth who scored 21 points overall for the Mustangs. Elijah Sperfslage scored 15, while Andrew Van Ryswyk and Jackson Thomas scored 10 apiece. The Mustang girls fell behind early to the class 3A #10 Cubs and couldn’t recover. Regan Freland scored 17 points in the loss. The Mustang girls fall to 3-4, the boys improve to 5-0, and will face undefeated South Hamilton on Friday night for first place in the Heart of Iowa conference.
