With no seniors on the squad and only one returning player with varsity experience, the PCM girls basketball team knew that this year would be one of growth and learning to play at the correct speed.

The Mustangs have played well so far in the 2017 portion, but will face a tough task in their first five games out of the gate in the second half of their schedule. The Mustangs will take on 9-1 North Polk to start out, followed by Grand View Christian, then a ranked 7-2 Fairfield, followed by a rematch and a chance at revenge against 8-2 Roland-Story, then perennial power Pella. The 4-5 Mustangs will get their 2018 schedule started on Thursday, January 4th, then play the next four games all in one week January 8th through the 13th.
