In a pair of season opening duals Saturday at the Pella Excit-a-Bowl, Pella beat Fairfield in both boys and girls bowling action.

The Little Dutch won 2,645-2,395. Reid Miller’s games of 192 and 206 gave him the high series of the day at 398, while Matt DeJong had a second game tally of 203 for a 372 series.

In girls’ action, Pella came out on top 1,826-1,720. Kaleigh DeWaard paced Pella with games of 177-132 for a 309 series.

Up next for both squads is a trip to Val Lanes Recreation Center next Saturday to battle Little Hawkeye Conference rival Norwalk.
