Already having faced fifth-ranked Oskaloosa and sixth-ranked Pella, the Pella Christian boys basketball team continues its run through the Little Hawkeye Conference guantlet tonight at home against second-ranked Norwalk.

It’s part of a girl / boy twinbill that you can hear live on www.kniakrls.com.

Pella Christian’s boys got in the win column Tuesday night when Cole Webster hit three free throws with less than a second remaining to beat Knoxville. They’re now 1-4 on the season.

Norwalk comes in at 6-0, with two 100-point games on their resume and all of their victories coming by double digits. Eagles coach Larry Hessing says that the Warriors offensive efficiency starts in the backcourt.

“They’ve got a four-year starter, Luke Vaske, at one of the guard positions. And they’ve got Bowen Born, a starter last year as a freshman, back as a sophomore this year. He’s a well-regarded player around the state as far as the recruiting process.”

Born and Vaske average 23 and 18 points per game, respectively. As a team, Norwalk scores 89.5 a game, which is the second best in the state regardless of class.

In the girls game tonight, it will be the 5-2 Eagles against the 3-4 Warriors.

Opening tip is at 6:15. Join Cory Houser and Wynne Veenstra for the action, beginning with pregame at 6:00 on KRLS2 at www.kniakrls.com.
