Pella Christian takes its turn at Indianola tonight as the Eagle girls and boys head west for a doubleheader.

The Pella Christian girls won two games last week by a combined 58 points, but coach Kevin Van Maanen doesn’t expect it to be quite as easy tonight against one fo the best teams in class 5A.

“That could be a different story because they’re going to play a lot of good defense. They’re long and lengthy, so we have to make sure our passing is sharp and then really work on defending them on the offensive end.”

Pella Christian is 6-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play, while Indianola is 5-2 and 3-0.

The boys game will feature the Eagles, who are 1-5, against the 2-4 Indians. Both teams are 0-3 in the LHC and looking for their first victory.
