The Pleasantville Trojan boys and girls basketball teams will host rival Martensdale-St Mary’s tonight in Pride of Iowa Conference action.

The Trojan boys are undefeated on the season, and face perhaps their biggest test of the season against a Blue Devils team that boasts 6’7 center Brady Gavin. Gavin is averaging 25.3 points per game and is third in class 1A in total rebounds with 61. The Trojans have also had success in the post, albeit more balanced, with Kyle Amendt, Devon Dursky, and Brant Wilkins averaging 23.1 points per game.

The Trojan girls are coming off a heartbreaking two point loss last Friday night to Southwest Valley, but are off to their best start in years at 3-2. Kelsee Van Haalen has been spectacular this season, averaging 20 points per game, while Jordan Dursky has also upper her game as she puts in 7 a contest. The game tonight can be heard live on our KNIA3 stream, with pregame starting at 5:45 and tip-off at 6. Andrew Swadner and Tom Wilkins will be on the play-by-play.
