After suffering a doubleheader defeat to Martensdale-St. Mary’s on Tuesday, both the boys and girls Pleasantville Trojan basketball squads will look to right the ship against East Union tonight on the road to Afton.

Both teams struggled to put points on the board on Tuesday, with the girls only scoring 24, and the boys 23 in their losses, which is unusual for teams that average 49 and 57 points per game respectively.

Head boys basketball coach Joel Allman told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that the bad game won’t define their season, and after they learn what their mistakes were, they are going to forget the game and focus on East Union.

Neither Eagles squad has looked particularly sharp to start the season either, with the girls being 2-3 and the boys 0-4. Action starts tonight in Afton at 6:15 with tip-off of the girls game.
