After a doubleheader sweep of Marion County rival Melcher-Dallas on Tuesday night, the Pleasantville Trojan girls and boys basketball teams will play host to Wayne as they start their Pride of Iowa Conference schedules.

The 2-0 Falcon girls squad comes in also picking up a victory over Melcher-Dallas as well as Twin Cedars, and swept the season series against the Trojans last season in a pair of close contests. Wayne lost their leading scorer to graduation, but seem to have not lost a step as they are averaging over 50 points a game and have three players averaging over 10 points per game. The 1-0 Trojan boys squad has a 10 game winning streak going all the way back to the 2012 district final matchup, and will continue to look for balanced scoring as they had five players hit double digit scoring in their season opener. Head Coach Joel Allman told KNIA/KRLS Sports, that the unselfishness of his guys is their strength. Action starts in Pleasantville tonight at 6pm, and full results can be found on KNIAKRLS.com
