Knoxville High School and Middle School students will see a price increase on their school lunches when they return from their winter break on January 3rd.

On December 12th the Knoxville School Board approved a raise in the school lunch price from $2.60 to $2.85, which matches the price of lunches with other area districts. According to Child Nutrition Director Julie Miller the increase comes after large increase in the price of food across the nation due to hurricanes and other weather disasters which have increased some prices by as much as 64%.
