Eighteen triples made by the Central men’s basketball team helped the Dutch roll to a 110 – 37 stomping of Faith Baptist Bible College last night, in a game heard live on KNIA3.
Senior forward, Kyle Smith, hit 1,000 points right on the nose with a three-ball early in the second half after the Dutch raced out to a
57 – 11 intermission advantage.
Sixteen total Central players wound up in the scoring column; Seth Wood had a game-high 17 points, and Malik Wildermuth turned in an unusual but impressive line of 16 points, eight steals, and six assists.
The win is their first outside of Iowa Conference play, and it improves Central’s record to 3 – 6 overall. They turn around and have the difficult assignment of welcoming a ranked Augustana squad into town tomorrow afternoon inside of P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium.
