Pella’s Landon Vander Leest has made his college decision.

In the midst of his senior season of basketball, Vander Leest has announced he’ll be going to Northwestern in Orange City to further his career in baseball.

Already a three-year starter for the Little Dutch, Vander Leest is coming off of a 2017 summer that saw him hit .288 with four home runs and 28 RBI. In just over 30 innings as a pitcher, he racked up 28 strikeouts.

Northwestern went 17-30 last season and had an 8-20 mark in the Great Plains Athletic Conference.
