Veteran Big 10 official Dave Witvoet will join fellow Central College graduate Mike Stumberg at the College Football Playoff National Championship next Monday in Atlanta.

Witvoet will serve as a communicator in the replay booth while Stumberg will be on the field as part of the officiating crew.

Witvoet has retired from on-field duties but is making his third bowl appearance as a communicator from the press box, and is working his 22nd bowl overall. It’s his fourth national championship game.

A three-year basketball letter-winner at Central, Witvoet graduated in 1970 and lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
