Congressman Dave Loebsack stopped in Pleasantville Friday to speak with Pleasantville High School students.

The congressman spoke about his path to becoming a member of congress and his time growing up in Iowa before taking questions from the students. Some of the questions asked were about topics such as net neutrality. Congressman Loebsack said he believed what the FCC did recently by reversing net neutrality was wrong and he feels a legislative fix to the issue is the right approach. The congressman was also asked about his feelings toward President Trump to which he said it, “depended on the day” but he feels he can work with anyone and that he does agree with the president on the need to improve infrastructure. Loebsack was also asked who he roots for between Iowa or Iowa State, at which time he stated he’s an Iowa State Alum but represents the Hawkeyes in congress.
