A wind chill advisory is in place throughout all of central Iowa through Tuesday at noon.

According to the National Weather Service, wind chill values will dip between 15 and 30 below zero in the overnight and morning hours. Frostbite can occur in as little as 30 minutes in these conditions, and hypothermia can set in after prolonged outdoor exposure as well.

The National Weather Service predicts much warmer conditions later this week, with daytime highs approaching 40 degrees by the weekend.
