Earlier in the week, we told you about how the Knoxville girls and boys basketball squads have nearly all of the South Central Conference teams at home the second time through. The boy’s squad have difficult non-conference opponents to navigate as well. They have three Little Hawkeye Conference teams Newton, Pella and Grinnell, a Raccoon River Conference opponent, Carlisle, and a Southeast Conference foe, Fairfield. The girls have a similar slate of non-conference teams with one exception. Instead of Grinnell, the Panthers will host Creston out of the Hawkeye Ten Conference on January ninth. The two Panthers played in Creston last season with The Creston Panthers taking the win 58-49. The girls also play Fairfield near the end of the regular season. This season the boys are 0-4 against non-conference teams while the girls are 3-1 against non-conference opponents.
