A Knoxville Suicide Prevention Town Hall Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 25th from 6:30 to 8 PM at the Knoxville High School Media Center.

Marion County organizations have partnered to form a Suicide Prevention Task Force with a goal to decrease suicides by 100 percent in Marion County. The task force is asking residents to attend the meeting to find out more information on how they can be involved in the training of work teams as well as being a part of the communications work team and learning more about prevention and planning. The Suicide Prevention Task Force includes members of the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, Knoxville Police Department, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Marion County Public Health, Knoxville Community School District, Pine Rest Mental Health Services, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Integrative Counseling Solutions, CROSS Mental Health Region, Marion County Emergency Management and First Five.
