The PCM Mustangs got a home split with the Fairfield Trojans Tuesday.

The Mustang girls would fall 67-53 and the boys would get a 68-58 win. In the girls game PCM would fall behind early trailing 25-18 at the end of the first quarter but battle back throughout the game and only trail by only four entering the 4th quarter. The Trojans lead by senior Amber Buch and her 31 points would pull away late and cruise to a 14 point win. The Mustangs were lead by Regan Freland with 19 points and freshman Emma George would add nine. On the boys side the Mustangs would get out t a quick start and lead the Trojans 21-11 after the first quarter. The Trojans would use a full court press to slow the Mustangs offense down and would cut the lead to three at halftime 29-26. PCM junior point guard Reed Worth would explode for 17 of his 21 points in the second half helping the Mustangs move to 9-2 on the year. With the eruption in scoring from Worth, Head Coach Fred Lorensen knows his team is dangerous with so many players that can lead the Mustangs in scoring on any night. The Mustang will now host Roland Story on Friday before turning right around and hosting Pella on Saturday.
