The PCM Mustang basketball teams will start the 2018 portion of their schedule tonight on the road to Alleman to take on the Comets of North Polk.

The 4-5 Mustang girls have a tall task, taking on the #8th ranked in class 3A 9-1 Comets team whose only blemish comes from a loss to #6 in 3A Nevada.

The Mustang boys team has four players averaging over 8 points per game in their 10 man rotation, and will face a North Polk team that has struggled this season with a 1-9 record, their only win coming against Saydel. The Comets do boast several players having standout seasons however, as a pair of juniors in Colten Parkins averaging 17.9 points per game, and Caleb Lomica scoring 15.4 keep the North Polk offense running smooth.

The girls will begin the doubleheader tipping off at 6, with the boys approximately 7:30, and full results of the Heart of Iowa Conference game can be found on KNIAKRLS.com.
