A late three point shot by freshman guard Lilli Baird gave the PCM Mustang girls basketball team a one point win last night on the road at Grandview Christian 46-45, while the boys fell 86-71.

Down 45-41 with one minute left in the game, a Morgan Uhlenhopp basketball made it a two point affair on the girls side, the Mustangs then forced a turnover, and then the freshman hit the clutch shot to get the win. Reagan Freland had 19 points to lead PCM, Sloan Hjortshoj had 8, and Baird 5.

On the boys side, the Mustangs fell behind 25-4 in the first quarter and could not recover. Trimming the lead to just 7 at 37-30 before halftime, the Thunder went on a run to get the lead back up around 12 where it stayed until the end.

The girls improve to 5-6, the boys fall to 8-2, and both teams will take on Fairfield in a doubleheader that can be heard live on our KNIA2 stream with Nathan Sage and Scott Bridges on the play-by-play. Pregame starts at 6pm, with tip-off at 6:15.
