The Pella City Council will tackle a wide range of issues regarding the upcoming budget and housing at their meeting this evening.

Fields for our Future will give a presentation about a budget request to enter the next phase of expansion at the Pella Sports Park. The council will also approve their procedural rules, contract change orders for the water main relocation near Pella Corporation, and set a public hearing date in March and open bids for the nearly $150,000 renovation of the Sunken Gardens windmill.

Additionally, the council will hold public hearings for the proposed Southwest Urban Renewal Area at Bos Landen Golf Course and development agreement with Bos Ridge LLC. City Administrator Mike Nardini tells KNIA/KRLS News the council has been hard at work trying to expand housing in the community, and this project allows for an expansion of over 40 housing units.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street.
