High school bowling is a relatively new sport, so there aren’t decades of history to draw upon and compare to, but none the less, the Pella High girls bowling team is in the midst of the best season in program history.

Four Lady Dutch seniors joined us last night on the PM Sports Page, and Kaleigh DeWaard told KNIA/KRLS Sports that there’s room to keep getting even better.

“All of us our working harder to get our average pin fall up. I just hope that all of us as a girls team can come together and push out a few more wins. There were only three girls on the bowling team our sophomore year, and we had no wins. We already have three this year in just four matches, and hopefully we can keep going.”

The Lady Dutch have been off since before Christmas. They’ll get back to action this Saturday with a home matchup against Knoxville at Pella Excit-a-Bowl.
