A Pleasantville man was arrested Tuesday following a traffic stop in Pella which resulted in 1.5 pounds of marijuana being confiscated.

According to court records, just before 11 p.m. Tuesday evening, a gray 2007 Kia Optima driven by 38-year-old Aaron Riepe of Pleasantville was stopped on Washington Street in Pella for having a faulty brake light. Upon investigation officers found Riepe to be driving on a suspended license. Riepe was arrested for driving on a suspended license. During the inventory of the vehicle officers noticed a strong odor of marijuana. Law enforcement searched the vehicle and found 1.5 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle as well as in the glove box. Riepe was charged with possession with intent to deliver, a class D felony, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a class D felony and driving while suspended.
