The South Central Conference basketball races are coming down to the wire and a lot could be resolved tonight in Knoxville. The girls, who got a win over Chariton on Saturday could clinch no worse than share with a win over Eddyville-Blakesburg. Ironically it was the same three teams involved last season with Eddyville needing a Knoxville win over Chariton to clinch the outright title, now this season it is the Chargers needing the Rockets to knock off Knoxville to have a chance at the title. Either way, the point could become mute if the Panthers can win tonight and clinch the outright title Friday against Centerville. On the boys side, Knoxville needs to win and have some help to have any shot at the conference crown. Eddyville is two games up on the Panthers and only needing to win tonight to make the race over.
