Tomorrow evening the Suicide Prevention Task Force will hold a Town Hall Meeting in Knoxville.

The meeting will be held at the Knoxville High School Media Center from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Larissa Van Donselaar with Marion County Public Health tells KNIA/KRLS News the meeting will help identify ways to meet people where they are at in their moment of need. Van Donselaar says the need can vary from people working with mental health patients, to first responders, to people just walking down the street. The task force wants to bring training to everyone to help fight suicides. Organizations in Marion County came together to form the Task Force with a goal to decrease suicides by 100 percent in Marion County. The task force is asking residents to attend the meeting to find out more information on how they can be involved in the training of work teams as well as being a part of the communications work team and learning more about prevention and planning.
