A Pella man was arrested in Knoxville Sunday for multiple drug related charges following a traffic stop.
According to court documents just before 7 p.m. Sunday, an officer with the Knoxville Police Department pulled over a red Chevy S10 at the corner of 7th and Main Street for a driver who was not wearing a safety belt. Taylor Reed, 23, of Pella was identified as the driver of the truck and admitted to not wearing the safety belt. Upon speaking to Reed, the officer identified the smell of marijuana coming from the truck. The officer asked Reed how much marijuana he had in the truck, to which Reed stated he had 4 ounces. Reed was detained by the officer and upon searching him the officer found a clear bag filled with a crystalline substance in his pants pocket. During a search of the truck, officers located a vacuum sealable bag with two ziplock bags inside which contained green leafy substances, which tested positive for marijuana. Reed was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana a class D felony, failure to affix a drug tax stamp a class D felony, possession of a controlled substance and failure to use a seat belt.
