The Pleasantville Trojans started the 2018 portion of their schedule Friday with a sweep of the Southeast Warren Warhawks.

The girls would get the winning started 37-27 and the boys would dominate the Warhawks 59-18. The Trojan girls would get out to a dominating 24-4 lead before the Warhawks would battle back in the 3rd quarter cutting the lead to 27-18 to start the 4th. The Trojans would be to strong down the stretch led by senior Kelsee Van Haalen with 13 points and cruise to a 37-27 win. On the boys side the Trojans would dominate from the tip leading at the half 38-9. Eight different Trojans would score on the night with junior Grant Fouch leading them all with 13 points behind three, three pointers. Seniors Devon Dursky and Kyle Amendt would add 9 points each and the Trojans would start 2018 with a 59-18 win. Pleasantville Head Coach Joel Allman tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the points in the paint from their seniors is what they need and he hopes they can carry that momentum moving forward. Its a quick turn around for the Trojans as they will head to Chariton for a boy girl doubleheader today.
