Avery Van Zee has been named to the Academic All-State Team by the Iowa Football Coaches Association.

In his senior season this fall, Van Zee led the Little Dutch with 1,308 combined rushing and receiving yards with 20 touchdowns. He also intercepted four passes, one of which was returned for a score, and he made 32 tackles, including five for loss.

The criteria for the Academic All-State Team is to be a senior starter and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.7.
