Agriculture classes are coming to Pella Christian High School.

Principal Dan Van Kooten tells KNIA/KRLS News a vocational ag program has been approved, and will be implemented in the upcoming academic year.

“We are not sure yet if we will be able to start at the beginning of the year, or if we’ll need to wait until the second semester,” he says. “That depends on things like finding an instructor, getting our curriculum in place, and just getting the framework of the program set up.”

Van Kooten says previous classes related to the industry were covered in other departments. He says Pella Christian has tried to implement agriculture classes before, but this will be the first time their society approved the program.
