Two Marion County residents have announced their intentions to run for the Marion County Board of Supervisors.

Republicans Mike Moats and Kisha Jahner have declared their candidacy for the position, currently held by Craig Agan. Agan, also a Republican, has not formally announced any decision regarding re-election. According to Moats, his previous experience of serving on the Knoxville School Board as well as being a farmer makes him a qualified candidate. Jahner believes she has key qualities of proven leadership, experience, and dedicated values needed for the position to help Marion County be fiscally efficient. Other positions on the ballot up for election this year are County Treasurer, County Recorder, and County Attorney. Current County Recorder Karen Schwanebeck has announced her intention to seek re-election, as has current County Attorney Ed Bull.
