Plagued by more “L’s” than “W’s” lately, the Central women’s and men’s basketball teams will hit the road to Dubuque to face a pair of lowly Spartan squads this afternoon.
The Dutch were swept at home their last two games versus Buena Vista and Loras. However, Central came away with two home wins over the Spartans back in December in their first meeting. Both women’s teams are on a bit of a slide; Central’s gals have lost nine straight inside the conference, while Dubuque has lost six-in-a-row. Both teams are tied at the bottom of the league standings.
On the men’s side, Central has had opportunities to climb the standings, but their faltering has dropped them into a tie for sixth in the league, while Dubuque has scraped together some wins to get within a game of the Dutch.
