One Pella bowler was the top scorer in his substate bracket and is advancing to the state competition next week.

Reid Miller rolled a 459 to earn his qualifying bid in Class 2A. Pella as a team had the top boys individual score at 2073, but lost over 200 pins of ground in the baker games to both eventual meet winner Ottumwa and runner-up Oskaloosa. Miller will bowl at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo on February 20th in the individual state tournament.

The Lady Dutch girls ended their season in Ottumwa, scoring 1955 overall. Kaeleigh DeWaard finished her bowling career with a 299 individual score to lead the Lady Dutch.

Pella Christian competed at a tough field featuring a boys and girls team qualifier in Louisa-Muscatine, and their season ended yesterday in Muscatine.
