A key for the Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad this season was everyone accepting their role on the team. Many of the upperclassmen had new roles that either were different playing responsibilities or less playing time. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, while some of the girls at first probably did not like the idea, they embraced their role and never had any girl complain. The Panthers finished 16-7 on the season and won the South Central Conference championship.
