The Knoxville Girls basketball had a 12 point lead with six minutes left in the third quarter, and watched as Fairfield took a 12 point deficit into a lead and eventually a 76-57 win over the Panthers. The Trojans hit on just 1/14 from three point range in the first half but hit on 5/7 in the second half and outscored Knoxville 54-27 in the second half. Coach Jim Uitermarkt told KNIA/KRLS Sports this was a frustrating loss that his team will have to learn from. Katie Keitges led the Panthers with 18 points and Maggie Wilkins scored 16. Knoxville is now 15-5 on the season and will host Winterset Thursday for the final regular season game.
