A Knoxville man faces additional charges after he allegedly made 15 phone calls from the Marion County Jail to a person in which he already has two no-contact orders against him.

According to court records, Kevin Sandrock, 53, of Knoxville, placed 15 phone calls from the Marion County Jail between January 22nd and February 8th to a number that belongs to the protected party. Of the 15 calls, Sandrock left two voice messages. Recorded footage shows Sandrock admitting to calling the protected party. Sandrock is charged with stalking-violation of protection order, a class D felony. Sandrock was originally arrested on January 17th for domestic assault impeding breathing/blood flow, a class D felony, as well as violation of a restraining order. According to court documents, the victim in the assault told police that Sandrock had woken up and become angry with her and began yelling at her. She told police that Sandrock hit her several times in the face, headbutted her, grabbed her by the throat and squeezed until she could not breathe. She told police that it had felt as if he was going to rip her throat out. She then fell to the ground, at which time Sandrock told her to stay there and look at the ground. The victim was able to escape the house once Sandrock was done yelling at her and called 911. The victim also stated on the 911 call that Sandrock had allegedly threatened to cut her up into little bits.
