More snow is possible later this week after flakes fell last night, following the biggest snow storm of the season to date.

An additional inch was recorded throughout most of south central Iowa, one day after 5-6” of snow fell throughout central Iowa. Many area roads were partially to completely covered with snow. According to the National Weather Service, additional snowfall is possible late Thursday into Friday morning, with 1-3” possible throughout most of the region. Travel may be difficult as melting snow on the roadways re-freezes overnight.
