PCM High School is playing host to one of the most potentially competitive boys’ basketball districts as the playoffs begin tonight.

Both the Mustangs and Pella Christian will look to begin long postseason runs, as the traditional area powerhouse programs look to make it back to Wells Fargo Arena.

The No. 4 seeded Eagles will kick off the Class 2A District 13 twin bill when they take on South Hardin of North Iowa Cedar League. The Tigers have won just two of their last eight games, including four losses this year to the two-top seeded teams in the bracket – West and East Marshall. They are led by Senior Kevin Rewoldt , who averages 14.5 points and 14.4 rebounds per game.

Head Coach Larry Hessing tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he’s proud of how this Eagles team has competed throughout the last half of the season, and feels like they are playing some of their best basketball heading into the playoffs.

PCM will take on Colfax-Mingo in the nightcap, immediately following game one.

Coverage from PCM High School begins with the Pella Christian-South Hardin Game, with pregame at 6:00. The PCM Mustangs and Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks will follow. Trevor Castle and Andrew Swadner will call both games live on 92.1 KRLS.
