Marion County’s 1A and 2A basketball teams now know the teams they will have to beat if they want to make it to the state tournament.

Pella Christian will look to make their 4th straight trip and 15th all-time to Wells Fargo Arena in Class 2A District 13, along with ten-time qualifier PCM in the same bracket. The Eagles will face South Hardini, while the Mustangs will host Colfax-Mingo in Monroe in a doubleheader on Monday, February 12th, with Pella Christian opening the night at 6:30 p.m.

Pleasantville will begin the playoffs on the 12th as well, traveling to Truro as the No. 4 seed in District 12 and facing West Central Valley at 6:30 that evening.

In Class 1A, Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas have both landed in Class 1A District 11. The Sabers travel to Ankeny Christian in the nightcap of the doubleheader, while the Saints are heading to Madrid to take on the home team in the second of two games at that site as well.
