Roland’s State Title Leads 4 Area Wrestlers On The State Podium

PCM’s Lucas Roland is a state champion. Roland defeated Kolton Bartow of Dubuque Wahlert 5-1 last night in the class 2A 170 pound weight class state title match. Roland finishes with a 53-1 record, and as a junior will get to come back and defend his title. Other place winners for the area included PCM’s Wes Cummings, who lost to Tate Battani of Ballard 11-5. Cummings finished in fourth place at 160 pounds. Also finishing on the podium for the Mustangs was Colby Tool at 138 pounds, as he placed fourth. Pleasantville’s Chaz Clark placed seventh as he won his wrestle back over Monte Pottebaum of West Lyon 9-2.
