Following a review night and district officer interviews, two Knoxville High School students and FFA members Mickayla McGill and Makenzie Varner were approved to receive their state degrees.

Receiving their state degree is the highest degree a state FFA can bestow upon a member, and shows their exemplary efforts in their Supervised Agriculture Experience, leadership, community service, and FFA career. Both McGill and Varner will receive their degrees in April at the state convention. McGill was also balloted as one of the candidates for South Central District FFA Vice President. On March 10th, McGill will give a two-minute speech to the South Central District delegates, who then vote and determine if McGill will be a district officer.
