A few records were set this season during the Knoxville Girls Basketball Season. Katie Keitges set the single season scoring record eclipsing a record held since the 2001/2002 season, Keitges also broke Modlin’s record for the highest average in team five-one-five history with her 19.9 points per game. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, Keitges really upped her scoring this season. Another record set was in December when Cassidy Pearson went a perfect 6/6 from the field to establish a 100% shooting night. The way she shot against the Redettes. you would think she liked playing against Centerville. In two combined games this season she went 7/8 from the field including 4/4 from the three point range and 2/2 from the free throw line for a combined 20 points this season. Keitges meanwhile, has 750 career points and is just 250 from becoming the fourth member of the girls 1,000 career points club.
