The City of Pella is partnering with the South Central Iowa Solid Waste Agency and Metro Waste Authority to bring residents the opportunity to properly dispose of household hazardous wastes.

This event will be held on Saturday, April 7th at the Pella Public Works Complex on 100 Truman Road. Residents of Marion County can drop off a variety of household chemicals and other items containing potentially hazardous materials such as aerosol cleaners and paints, ammonia-based cleaners, rechargeable batteries, fertilizers, fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs), gasoline, kerosene, paints, stains, varnishes, metal polishes, rust removers, mercury thermometers, pesticides, petroleum adhesives, and used oil filters.

The Household Hazardous Waste event is from 9:00 a.m. to noon on April 7th, following Pella Spring Cleaning week. Click here for the flier.
