There will be a new goalkeeper for the Knoxville Boys Soccer Squad this season. The Panthers will have to replace Tyeson VanWyngarden’s 118 saves in 2017. Coach Dylan Mick tells KNIA/KRLS sophomore Wyatt Darnell is looking good in preseason and hopes he can step up his game this season. Mick adds Darnell got into some matches last season due to injury and other issues and looked good. He also played in the field and did well playing position soccer. The Panthers first match is next Saturday at the Fort Madison Invitational.
