Pella Christian Remembering Former Counselor Saturday with 5K

Pella Christian High School is celebrating the life of a former counselor.

The 11th annual Gene Van Wyk Memorial Run takes place on Saturday at 9 a.m., beginning at the high school. All proceeds will go towards the Gene Van Wyk Memorial Fund and the Gene Van Wyk Weight Room at Pella Christian. Van Wyk was a long-time counselor at Pella Christian High who passed away from stomach cancer in 1998.
