It took two overtimes to settle the score as the Pella Christian Soccer team edged out PCM in the 2018 season opener at Eagle Lane.

The Eagles jumped to 1-0 first half lead, but the Mustangs’ Misha Seebeck tied the game late in the second period on a corner kick. Neither team was able to find the back of the net in regulation or the first overtime. Pella Christian’s Nathan De Bruin knocked in a goal with 3:22 remaining in the second extra period. Sam Brouwer scored the first goal for Pella Christian.

Jake Fancher earned his first win as Eagles Head Coach with the W. Pella Christian is 1-0, and next travel to Albia Monday, while 0-1 PCM travel to Centerville that same day.
