Pella’s girls tennis team knocked off Boone last night 7-4 to stay unbeaten on the season.

The Lady Dutch won four of the six singles matches and three of the five doubles contests to get the victory and improve to 4-0.

Coach Josh McCollam says that with several returning state qualifiers from a year ago, and a senior laden lineup, the expectations are sky high, and they’re looking forward to the challenge of meeting them.

“If we compare last year to where we are this year, we are right on pace to be as good if not better this year. But we’re going to play some opponents who are going to be as good or better. We’ve got some good goals in mind, but we have to take it one meet at a time until you get to the postseason, and then it’s the same thing, you play who’s in front of you there.”

The Lady Dutch are back in action today as they look to defend their championship at the Indianola tournament.
